"18-year old Little Bride" Story

Recently, I've been following on this korean drama called "Little Bride" starred by Han Ji Hye (the gal) and Lee Dong Gun (the guy) which was debut in 2004. It's a hilarious comic drama of an 18 year-old reckless teenager betrothed to a 28 year-old elite district attorney, Little Bride begins with the arranged marriage between the two main characters, Jung-Sook (Han Ji-Hye) and Hyuk-Jun (Lee Dong-Gun). The 20-part mini-series unfolds as the two find the true meaning of love despite the quite irregular surroundings of their marriage. For more info, please go to - http://www.spcnet.tv/reviews/review.php?rID=469

While watching the movie, it has reminded me of my relationship with my keke also... our "pak toh" memories... and just married life memories... Hope we will also can be like them - support eachother and have a happy life together regarless what happened". I know that our married life is just the begining of our life together as couple but I really hope that we could be as loving and understanding like the couple in the movie. I think what they are trying to show reflects very much on odinary people's life. If keke have time, do watch this series... it is highly recommended and you'll find yourself enjoying the funny scene in the series too!

May our marriage life be bless with abundance of laughter and love, and may God keep our relationship grow stronger than ever. AMEN.

Five things MUST do in Japan

Today while I was searching for info. on things we "must do" in Japan, I stumbled on this page. The info is as follows:

The Express On Sunday Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge ~ here are so many experiences to pack into a trip to Japan and so much unique culture to explore. With prices lower than you expect and a highly developed, first-world infrastructure to work with, doing so is easier than you think. DAVID ATKINSON (a British) looks at the essential Japanese experiences:

1. Ride the bullet train (Shinkansen)
Imagine yourself on a public transport system. A suited official wishes you a pleasant journey as he enters the carriage and bows respectfully after checking your tickets. A trolley service wheels mouth-watering boxed lunches, cold beers and hot coffee through the carriage as you power through the countryside and the ride is so smooth that, despite thundering along at recordbreaking speeds, you barely even feel the sway. Where could this be? Only on Japan's bullet train, the most efficient travel system in the world. Uniquely Japanese, it offers 174 high-speed connections per day from Tokyo to Kyoto. So, arm yourself with a JR Rail Pass - you must buy this before arriving in Japan - and enjoy the ride (www. japanrailpass. net). From 28,300 yen pp (GBP140) for a seven-day pass.

2. See the cherry blossoms
The peach and plum blossoms make a tentative appearance in early March but it's the flowering of cherry blossom or '"sakura" from early April that marks the official arrival of the Japanese spring. In doing so, it unleashes a tidal wave of sakura seekers, Japan's answer to New England's leaf twitchers. Parks across Japan - Tokyo's Yoyogi Park is a favourite (above) - come alive at this time of year packed with everyone from picnicking families to teenage rebels, breaking off from impromptu gigs to admire cascading blossoms on the wind. It's a zen thing, they say.

3. Visit an onsen resort
There are more than 2,000 onsen (hot springs) scattered across Japan, from the frozen north to the tropical south. These rural retreats, which evoke the traditions of feudal rural life, were once places to ease the aching muscles of rice farmers after the harvest. Today, many have become tourist attractions in their own right, the majority accessible via the bullet train network. The onsen experience requires three elements: a wooden bathhouse, the smell of sulphur coming off the water and a host of aged regulars lolling around in yukata (kimonostyle dressing gowns), the latter having already achieved the state of postsoaking nirvana known as "yude-dako" or the boiled octopus. From GBP25pp.

4. Stay at a ryokan
Ryokan are Japan's answer to the British B&B - but with a Japanese twist. These authentic, old-style guest houses are bastions of tradition and offer visitors a wonderful opportunity to sample traditional Japanese life. Typically, guests check in from mid afternoon for a piping hot bath in a communal washroom, followed by a slap-up dinner featuring fresh local produce. Guests bed down on futons on traditionally minimalist tatamimat floors with a flask of green tea to keep them company. Gentle slumbers guaranteed. From approx GBP40 per night.

5. Go kitsch
The Japanese are notoriously faddish and obsessed with kitsch. One word you will constantly encounter in Japan is "kawaii", meaning cute, and it's applied to everything from Hello Kitty to Winnie the Pooh. The kitsch doesn't come much finer, however, than the theme parks close to Tokyo, such as Tokyo Disneyland and Sanrio Puroland, dedicated to Hello Kitty and other cartoon characters. The latest kitsch fad is food theme parks. Two of the most popular are currently Ikebukuro Gyoza Stadium with various gyoza (dumpling) dishes by famous restaurants across Japan, and Ice Cream City, dedicated to 10 ice-cream stores.

Here, also I've with me another blogger who share his experience while he was in Japan. Check this out - http://quaisi.net/10-things-you-must-do-in-japan/

My Honeymoon Gateaway

Waaaahh...!! I'm so thrilled that we finally decided to go for our honeymoooon to... JAPAN! Nine more days to go and we'll be flying off to our dreamt honeymoon destination. My keke was also very excited as we booked our tour and paid our money to the agent today. He has been laughing non-stop since. :) We've been dreaming of going for our honeymoon since our wedding day... but then we have been very busy with our work... and now, very soon our dream will be realised!!

I'm not sure about my keke but I've been dreaming to go to Japan since I was in collage when I studied International Business. Japan's culture and it's people really amazed me. Though we are the same skin colour, same eyes, and hair colour but they are much more advance than us and they think ahead so far away.

Here are some info. about my dream destination (Japan) can be found here:- http://www.japan-guide.com/

The season in Japan around this time should be spring and it is the season of Cherry Blossom time!! :D FYI, The cherry blossoms usually bloom for only about a week after full-bloom. The small, round shape flowers flutter to the ground gracefully and the blossoms are said to be the most beautiful at their final stage. For many Japanese people, the blooming of the cherry trees symbolize human life, transience and nobleness. They celebrate and cherish their beauty while it lasts. The first day of blooming (kaika) in Tokyo this season was 20 March, and in Kyoto was 25 March. They said the sakura flowers will last for about one week after from the day of first bloom (as per picture below).

Hopefully we will be able to catch some of the spectacular view of the sakura flowers blooming in Japan now... Our tour will last for 7 days and I really hope my keke and I could enjoy our very best during this time. As the cliche goes - When you work, work hard and when you play, you have to play hard too! :)

Here are some highlights of our tour:
- full day in Tokyo Disneyland & Osaka Universal Studio
- soak in the traditional Japanese Hot Spring bath at Fuji Hokone hotel (where the volcano errupted 3000 yrs ago)
- visits some of the temple and shrine around Tokyo and Kyoto
- shopping in Tokyo, Osaka & Kyoto
- Shinkansen ride (bullet train ride) for approx. 12 min
- go up to Mt. Fuji in cable car
- visit Toyota city

Can't wait to have fun with my keke... Looking "eagerly" forward to our honeymoon... Japan wait for us yarr~!

Japan

Current Climate in Japan: Spring in Japan starts from March to May. In early spring, there are still cold days when a heavy coat is needed, but in May it gets warm enough during the day that only a short-sleeved shirt is needed. Although there may be days when it gets colder in the morning and evening, most days are generally warm and comfortable. The tourist sites, therefore, are crowded with many people enjoying the balmy weather especially when the sky is clear and the humidity is low -an ideal condition for sightseeing.

Spring in Japan is associated with cherry blossoms. Since olden times, cherry blossoms have captivated the hearts of the Japanese people. The traditional custom of hanami is to visit mountains and parks with cherry blossoms and hold sake-drinking parties beneath the cherry trees in full blossom. Tokyo's Ueno Park (which we will visit) and Mt. Yoshino in Nara are famous spots for viewing cherry blossoms. The greatest charm of sightseeing in Japan is surely the seasonal change, such as the cherry blossoms of spring and the crimson and golden leaves of autumn.

Below is the map of Japan where in 8 days time me & my keke will be there to set foot on their land. We are so so thrilled and can't wait to see Japan! :)

See you in Japan! =)

Welcome to the Family of Christ!

My dearest sweetie,

Welcome to the family of Christ! Yesterday marked a very special day to you... Sunday, March 11th, 2007 (also known as your 2nd birthday). Frankly speaking, I'm a bit shocked & never thought that you are ready to accept Him at that moment. But I'm delighted and gald that you are ready and happily accepted Him into your life. Do praise and pray to Him. May you be blessed by Him and may He will guard you through your life. God bless you! AMEN.

Here are some little things you shd know as you begin your Christian walk:

God loves you and wants you to know that He has a plan for your life.
The Bible says: "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly." John 10:10b (NASB)

God has given each of us a free will to choose to follow or to reject Him. Unfortunately, since Adam man has chosen to disobey God and to go his own way. Everyone has sinned against God.
The Bible says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

As hard as you may try, nothing you can do will compensate for your sins and bring you back into a right relationship with God.
The Bible says: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Someone must pay for your sins before you can be rightly-related to God. Because you cannot pay, God did. He loves you so much that He sent His perfect, sinless son Jesus to earth to be crucified on a cross for your sins. When Jesus died that agonizing death, He paid the penalty for you.
The Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

If Jesus had not risen from the dead, you would still be separated from God by your sins. But He did. Jesus could not be overcome by death. He came back to life and now lives in heaven with His Father.
The Bible says: "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." Romans 10:9

Because Christ died for your sins, He has the power to forgive your sins and wash them away. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9

Jesus wants to give you the gift of salvation. But He won't push His way into your life. You have to invite Him into your heart and ask Him to be your Savior and the Lord of your life.
Jesus says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him." Revelation 3:20

You can ask Him to come into your heart right now. Pray this prayer, or a similar one. The words you use aren't as important as the meaning that comes from your heart.

"Jesus, I am a sinner. Thank you for taking my place and dying for my sins. Right now, I open the door of my heart and accept You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiveness and for giving me a new life. Help me to be what You want me to be and to live each day for You. Amen."

Now what? If you sincerely asked Jesus into your heart, you have been reborn as a member of the family of God. To continue to grow in your relationship with Christ, you need to do the following things:

Tell someone about your decision to live for Christ.
Jesus says: "Everyone therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:32

Read and study your Bible. God speaks to us through the Bible to let us know what He wants to do for us and through us.
The Bible says: "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15

Pray every day. Talk to God and tell him about all of your joys and your problems. He wants you to depend on Him. Also, be sure to listen for God speaking to you.
The Bible says: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Attend a Bible-teaching church. In fellowship with other believers we can encourage one another, study the Bible, worship the Lord and pray.
Jesus says: "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them of My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered in My name, there am I in their midst." Matthew 18:19-20

Infectious Spirit

Recently, while watching TV at home I came across one of Rain's MTV (called It's Raining) and I was deeply touched by his way of dancing. I must say that I have not seen any Asian singer who dance so passionately like Michael Jackson or any other Western singer!! His moves really attracts me! I must say though, his acting was not as good as his dancing skills... :)

While browsing in one of the music store with my keke recently, I found one of his concert DVD namely "Rain's First Live Concert - Rainy Day" in Seoul, year 2005. (Here, I wld like to thank my keke, who bought the DVD. I really appreaciate it!) After watching his concert, I must say that his concert ROCKS!! I've never seen anyone (Asian singer) sing and dance so gracefully as he did. You can see all his passion and determination while he is on the stage. I must say I never see this kind of "fire" before in an Asian star... he even takes the effort to planned the whole stage performance. I must say, this is the first time I hear his songs and performance on stage. He really did make my jaw dropped! Damn, I missed his concert in Malaysia recently (Jan 27th, 2007 at Bkt. Jalil). But never mind, I will buy his World tour DVD when available.

There are a few songs which I really like after watching his DVD concert:
- I do
- Again & Again
- Na
- Instead of saying goodbye
- To you

Some of Rain (Bi) background information:
He came from a poor family. Born inthe year of Pig on 25th June 1983 (now he is only 24 year old) His mother passed away due to diabetes before he even debut his 1st album. He has a younger sister name Jung Hana. He became addicted to dancing when he is 12 years old and before his solo career he was involved in a boyband group named Fanclub (consist of 5-6 members in the group) but was not successful that was back in 1998. However, in 2002, he found a producer and manger, namely JYP Entertaiment who is willing to promte him after been to 12 other auditions with different production company. Before becoming a singer, he was the back-up dancer for JYP. After 3 years (in 2005), he has his first concert in Seoul and since has become very successful in Asia. Named by Time magazine as 100 most influential people in Asia on 2005/6. Check this out -
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1187264,00.html

He always say that he would love to have a girlfriend now and go out with his friends more often but he couldn't because he has to continue working hard to achieve his dream. Even though he haven't achieve the dream that he wanted but I would say up to now, his hardwork really pays off.

I really hope my keke would also be inspired by his spirit to fight for your own dreams. To become where Rain stands today, I'm sure he has gone through a lot of painful moments in his life but he did not give up fighting for his own dreams. I hope when you (my keke) feel restless, he (Rain) will be the source of inspiration to you.

And, don't forget to pray to God. I'm sure He will guide you through your journey to your destination. Have faith in Him and in yourself.
